Legs McNeil, the "resident punk" in Punk magazine (a publication that predated the label for the new genre) has worked with Gillian McCain to compile an amazingly entertaining read. At times funny, scary, disgusting and inspiring, the book features (as the title says) transcriptions of interviews with many figures around when punk music was in it's noisy infancy.  read on...

Before I begin, let me put forth a disclaimer; I know the Reverend Peyton. I used to work with him at WFYI, the Indianapolis public radio/TV station. He's a helluva great guy to spend some time talking with. When the time would come to get away from the desk for a bit because work was too much (or too little, as was more often the case) I'd meet Chris Flood in Josh's office and, in between work, we'd shoot the breeze about just about anything.
